About this event
Florida is the top state in the nation for the percentage of the population accessing insurance
through the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Healthcare cuts are expected to significantly impact Sarasota
County and the rest of Florida by making health insurance unaffordable for millions,
leading to higher numbers of uninsured individuals, increasing strain on hospitals and causing
worse health outcomes.
Our expert panelists, Holly Bullard and Irene Fleshner, will shine a light on the local impact
of these federal healthcare cuts in terms of access and affordability.
